The governing body of English netball events has unveiled a new logo, new partnerships and what it has described as a ten-year \u2018Adventure Strategy\u2019 to rapidly expand the scope, profile and exposure of Netball in England<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Whilst the scope of the\u00a0Adventure Strategy<\/a>\u00a0is huge, its primary focuses include using the sport\u2019s growing profile to help close the gender participation gap in sport, opening up the sport to a much wider audience, boosting the grassroots game and providing the resources for the Vitality Roses to be the best female sports team in the world.<\/p>\n

As part of this, a\u00a0new logo was unveiled<\/a>\u00a0for the organisation as well as a refreshed website, which emphasises the new look and focus on unity that represents the English game.<\/p>\n

As well as this, the governing body also\u00a0partnered with England Men\u2019s and Mixed Netball Association (EMMNA)<\/a>, with a focus on the inclusion of a wider, diverse community of players whilst maintaining the unique female-focused foundations that have been the backbone of the sport for decades.<\/p>\n

It was the England National Team\u2019s gold medal success at the 2018 Commonwealth Games that initially inspired the Adventure Strategy, according to England Netball themselves, with two gutsy, dramatic and inspiring performances powering the Vitality Roses to victory.<\/p>\n

The first was against the Sunshine Girls of Jamaica, where the Roses battled back after trailing by six goals to level the score and finally win in the closing seconds.<\/p>\n

After this was the final between the dominant Australian team, clear favourites to once again win the entire tournament. However, the Roses would not be denied, even with the finals taking place on the Gold Coast.<\/p>\n

With the best result in the history of the English game, as well as Netball receiving a larger spotlight when every game in the Vitality Superleague was televised and broadcast on Sky Sports, England Netball has decided to make this the catalyst for a boost in the sport at every level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
