The national England netball team, known as Vitality Roses, are celebrating a 2-1 three-match Test series victory over New Zealand\u2019s Silver Ferns national team.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BBC Sport<\/span><\/a> reports that this is the first time that the England team have won a Test series in New Zealand within the first two games.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Roses lost the final Test match in a 61-56 defeat in Invercargill, but they won the first two Tests and went on to be awarded the Taino Jamison Trophy. The Roses captain Fran Williams told the BBC that she was proud of her team and they are feeling more confident and looking forward to the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She said: “It’s so special for us as a nation to be able to come here and win the series in the first two Tests. That was something we were really looking to achieve and I am just so proud of how the girls have handled themselves across what has been a long tour for us.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Williams added: “It’s just a really exciting place to be in England netball right now and I just can’t wait to see where we are going to go. Confidence and belief are the key things, but you can’t just talk about that, you have got to show it on court, and I feel like that is what we have done through these matches.”<\/span><\/p>\n
