England Netball Team Up For Cancer Fundraiser

A special netball event involving a leading cancer charity and Netball England is set to take place at Warwick University this spring. The event will bring together players of all abilities from across the UK, to help them enjoy the challenge and teamwork that netball can bring, as well as to raise funds for cancer support.

Netball England are working with the charity Look Good Feel Better to bring the event to Warwick on Sunday 26 March. Professional players will be on hand to offer coaching and encouragement to 30 teams from across the UK.

Ian Daniels, Director of Fundraising at Look Good Feel Better, said: “After an enforced 2-year hiatus, we are thrilled that our popular charity netball tournament is back and in a fantastic new home! Together with England Netball and Warwick University, we have been working hard to ensure this year’s tournament is the best yet.”

He added: “As well as raising vital funds for people living with cancer, we want to ensure all participating players and spectators have the best experience and that is a day to remember.”

The event first started in 2017, and has since gone on to raise over £100,000 for cancer survivors and their families.

Fran Connolly, England Netball CEO, said: “We are delighted to see this event return to court, and are proud to partner with Look Good Feel Better to continue such important work in both supporting and raising funds for those living with cancer.”

“Bringing communities together through netball to help positively impact lives on and beyond the court is very powerful, and I am sure the event will be a great experience for all involved.”
